4 Common Sprinkler System Designs

Different Looks of Your Sprinkler System!

Most landscapers offer a range of sprinkler system designs. There are different styles, but let’s take a look at the most common ones and why they are chosen by some property owners. Also, you will learn more about their benefits, pros and cons, and how to properly maintain them. The four main types are listed below:

Circular Sprinkler System

Here, the sprinkler heads are arranged in a circular pattern around the lawn. This sprinkler design is usually used in residential landscaping projects because it is low-maintenance. A circular sprinkler system is good for residential yards because it covers a large area.

Binocular Sprinkler System

These are also known as rotary sprinkler systems. The design is similar to a circular sprinkler system, but it has two heads that rotate side-by-side. When two rotors are used, you will be able to cover a lawn twice as large as that covered by circular sprinkler heads.

T-Pattern Sprinkler System

This sprinkler design is good for commercial lawns. It has either three or five heads arranged in a T-shape around the lawn. It is more expensive than a circular sprinkler system and it has more parts to it. It’s a good option for commercial landscapers, but it is not ideal for residential lawns because it does not cover a large area.

Cap and Collar and Cylinder Style

This design is also considered a family of sprinkler covers. It is almost like the Cap Style, but Cylinders are added to the design. This is done so that the water doesn’t leak out from the sprinkler head. The main difference between the above-mentioned sprinkler system designs of their covers.
